This page outlines the breaking changes that will impact Soneium Minato node operators, developers, and users.

After last month’s successful upgrade to Granite, Soneium Minato will undergo another upgrade to the new release of the OP Stack called Holocene. The Holocene upgrade introduces a stricter and simpler block derivation pipeline, improving worst-case scenarios for the Fault Proof System and interoperability. For this upgrade, both the node binaries and the L1 contracts on Ethereum Sepolia will be upgraded.

This upgrade has no immediate impact on Soneium developers.

Please note:

• Failure to upgrade in time will prevent transactions from being committed using the node.
• Operators providing node services to customers should ensure that their customers are informed about a brief downtime during the upgrade window.

Soneium Minato node operators must restart their nodes using the latest version of the Soneium Minato node. Please follow the upgrade instructions outlined below.
